In kitchen, i'm different kind of person, senang baran kalau kau main-main bodoh dengan aku.
Foolish act in the kitchen is not really the thing i like.
For me, respect is the essential ethic everywhere especially in the kitchen.
I'm strict in the kitchen, use specific chopping board as their specific color,
after mise-en-place, clean the working table,
after cook, clean the stove and pan you use.
"Clean as you go."
Perumpamaan Lecturer a.k.a Chef aku masa diploma,
"Lepas kau berak, kau cuci punggung kau."
Well, at first i find it disgusting to use that kind of perumpamaan, but it's true and real.
Before cook something, it's compulsory for the cook to have knowledge and information on the food to be cook.
This to get idea on how and what are we going to cook.
At least, when someone ask about the food that you cook, you can answer them.
That's, one of the dignity of being a chef.
Most of my friend, find that i'm kind of bossy and loud in the kitchen but they thanks me because if i'm not bossy and loud, the kitchen will be kelam kabut, and messy.
Last Wednesday, i have Asian Cuisine Kitchen, masak masakan Indonesia, kebetulan, on that day, budak-budak diploma culinary pun ada Final Kitchen Exam.
The most annoying thing they do, main masuk je kitchen orang, without bagi salam and bertanya, dengan reaksi muka yang "macam kitaorang ni tak wujud dekat kitchen tu", then suka hati ambik bowl, pot, pan and other utensils.
What? kitaorang ni nak masak guna apa? cari kayu, bakar, and masak beralaskan batu ke??
Nasib malang budak2 tu, kena "woi!" seketul dengan aku.
p/s: Ada yang cakap aku banyak layan si dia dalam kitchen. To be honest, i'm trying to be professional. I answer when being ask, that's all..
-Maybe the diploma student thought that i'm the Chef a.k.a Lecturer at that time, because they don't look scared and guilty when my colleague scold them..
